Ascension Home Luau Enriches Lives
Manager Amy made hot weather fun by coordinating a Hawaiian Luau to enrich the lives of Ascension Homes residents. The cool, rich music of Hawaii, grass skirts and tropical food gave all the sense of a vacation destiny preferred by many.

Ascension Health Homes mission is to enrich and enhance the lives of our residents to give peace of mind to you and the ones you care about. We understand that activities like the luau engage the residents and offer many benefits as described by Psychology Today. Residents chose to help cook the food to meet their personal goals of participating in an activity they enjoy. Other residents participated in socializing during dinner because it made them happy to engage with the others.
Activities included Hawaii bingo prior to the meal. During the event there was lively conversations and dancing after dinner! The day brought smiles and laughter to all. We look forward to celebrating the next event together!
